ok so this is hilarious!!! My bff Hil tagged me to do this and it happens that the 6th folder I have in my pictures is titled "Eric&Hil". That's right, a folder dedicated to them. creepy huh? lol. I think it's from when we were getting their wedding slide show together...i put all the pics i had of them in 1 spot for easy access. Anyway, i took this pic of them before some dance they went to up on campus. You know, i really don't even know what it was. Do you remember hil?? All i know is i love Eric's face in this pic. lol. Good times!

birthday blast...

first off i want to thank everyone for all the bday wishes, emails, messages, texts, phone calls, and all the love i got on my birthday. you seriously made me feel so special. and we all know i love feeling special. so THANK YOU!!!

i'm sure you're wondering what we were up to and what surprise ry pulled off this time. well, ryan flew back into salt lake on friday after being in indiana recruiting for a few days. so i drove down with our friends jeff & kapri to meet up with him. we had a husband/wife pinnacle meeting that night that we were heading to. i really just wanted to go because they always hand out super cute bags. this year we got this awesome ogio bag...

i freakin love it!!! the great benefits of being a pinnacle wife :)

anyway, we met up with ry at the hotel we were staying at for the night ~ hyatt summerfield in sandy. it's seriously a gorgeous hotel. we had a huge 2 bedroom suite with jeff & kapri. we all checked in and headed up to our room. when i walked into the room, i found this in one of the bedrooms...

ry snuck up earlier and did a lil decorating. there were rose petals everywhere, some bubbly, chocolate, tic tacs and a princess bear. it was so sweet!! after checking out the p.i.m.p room we headed to the pinnacle dinner.

after dinner, we went to pick up a dairy queen bday cake. it was my only 1 true desire this year for my bday. everyone at DQ sang happy bday to me and ry and kapri hoisted me up on their shoulders for a lil bday yee-haw!! i wish we had pics. it was just so silly.




we went back to the hotel and ate some cake with thayne & maryanne & cache. i had to post this pic of them cuz i just think it's so cute!


when they left, we went for a dip in the pool {ya it was outdoors and 80 degrees. it was amazing!}. after a toast to me, the bday girl, and some late night sillyness and chatter, we headed to bed.

on saturday i came home to this beautiful bouquet of flowers from ry's family {THANK YOU}. can i just tell you how much i LOVE real-true-live-breathing flowers and how great it's been to have so many around the house. i love it!!!

needless to say, i had an amazing weekend.
and because we had so much fun...we're heading to vegas with jeff & kapri to celebrate valentine's/president's day/kapri's bday. we just can't get enough of each other :)

{if you were thinking i looked a lil different in the above photos, you're right! i forgot to wear mascara. mascara is essential. how in the world do you forget it??}

guess who's opening for rascal flatts...

maybe you already knew...but i just got our tickets in the mail today and discovered that Jessica Simpson is opening for Rascal Flatts.

i'll let you know if she's as "meaty" as the media is claiming. i'm pretty sure i'm more excited about checking it out firsthand then listening to her perform her new claim to country music.

i guess i just really like the "take my breath away" jessica simpson.

look what i got from my family today...

happy early birthday to me!!!

they are so stinkin' gorgeous. i LOVE the multi color ones. there are 25 of them....cuz i'm turning 25 tomorrow. holy cow! i'm getting old. i don't look that old, right?!?!

thank you mom and dad and vanessa and josh!!! you totally made my day. you guys are awesome!

and...i just wanted to say thank you to those {you know who you are} who have been so sweet to take care of me and check on me and offer help while i've been sick {with self-diagnosed bronchitis} and husbandless. i feel so blessed to have such amazing friends in my life.

i don't think i even deserve it...

we passed!

after alot of organizing files, driving, and nervousness...we passed! the interview really was a breeze. i walked in with my pile of documents and photo albums (as requested) and the interviewer didn't even ask for ANY of it. i was a lil bummed because i was so stinkin' prepared. she simply asked us questions based on our application to verify who we were, reviewed our file a lil bit, and she was done.

ry, being his normal self, was asking alot of silly questions and joking around a lil with her {he asked if she went to a special school to do what she does. and then he made a joke about looking for terrorists. ahhh!!!}. i started laughing nervously and digging my nails into his leg because she wasn't even cracking a smile. i figured she wasn't very impressed. but after a few minutes she opened up. phew!

so...i should have my green card in 3 weeks!
